    Thorpe Farm Centre

    Welcome to Thorpe Farm

Welcoming those that live locally and visitors from far and wide, 7 days a week, 12 months of the year.

The Barkes family have lived and farmed at Thorpe Farm for nearly 100 years. The late Deryk Barkes first moved to Thorpe in 1936 and now his family have continued his legacy with Thorpe Farm Centre. Deryk loved people and would be so proud to know that the family have created this wonderful place for families and loved ones to join together. Deryk loved all aspects of the countryside, particularly where we are positioned near Barnard Castle, between the border of stunning North Yorkshire and beautiful County Durham.

At the heart of Thorpe Farm there is local food and drink which can be enjoyed by all. Whether you are shopping in our farm shop, eating in our restaurant or staying with us on our caravan site, Thorpe Farm is somewhere you can visit for the day and feel at home. Not only can you enjoy what we have to offer inside but you can reconnect with the outdoors by enjoying our fantastic rural walks and cycle routes, which are all dog friendly and for your children the outdoor play area is a great place to let off some steam!
