Welcome to Thorpe Farm which is situated 9 miles west of Scotch Corner on the edge of the A66 in beautiful Teesdale. Centred around an 18th Century Peel House, the licensed site offers an array of attractions for the whole family to make it a memorable day. Thorpe Farm is perfect for family day trips and includes a campsite and caravan park ideally located in County Durham, North Yorkshire. On site are the following:-

- Heritage Wood with 6 walks ranging from 1-8 miles starting and finishing at Thorpe Farm (To be used with OS Barnard Castle & Richmond Sheet No. 92).

The Shop and Coffee Shop are open seven days a week from 9am - 5pm - Sunday 10am - 5pm,we only close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day!

The Reclamation Barn has been busy too sourcing reclaimed products and has some really different pieces on sale, again well worth a browse to treat either yourself, your home or as a gift.
For those of you with a dog the recently planted Teesdale Heritage Wood is growing well and is a pleasurable place to walk. This is a community woodland project, sponsored by the Forestry Commission and consists of 8 acres of native hard wood trees. The woodland walks are free and open to the public to explore at any time and are dog friendly! On a fine day you can see right up Teesdale. The walk meanders through the paddocks now housing the animals from the park, donkeys, ponies and llamas, so why not come for a walk and enjoy the scenery and the animals, it is all free access.
