    Reviews & Testimonials

Have a caravan on site and the site is very very quiet site. Weather Riggs rescue centre makes the site a whole lot better. I volunteer at the centre, and Terry and Victoria—the main animal managers—are amazing. I would recommended going into the sanctuary especially, on the open day where Headi the Fox and the reptiles are on show to the public. Also there are a few animal handling sessions that are family friendly.

We stayed 15-17 June and although the weather wasn't too great, it didn't spoil a great weekend. The guy on reception was very pleasant and informative and suggested a couple of walks to try out, which we did. It wasn't too busy when we were there and the campers who were, were very friendly, the children all played together and although dogs were allowed on site, you wouldn't have thought they were there as they were all so well behaved and quiet. We pitched up on the non-electric site which was in immaculate condition with three oak trees right in the middle and a small pond. One of the trees had a tyre swing attached which kept our granddaughter (and her new camping friends) entertained for hours. We visited the animal rescue centre and paddocks outside which was great fun (although a chicken did keep chasing my granddaughter which was quite funny) and we went on a couple of the walks around the area. The restaurant was very relaxing and the food was amazing, we had breakfast on the Saturday (due to the rain not allowing us to light out BBQ) and the little one enjoyed a slice of cake with a milkshake. See you again soon.

Stayed here over the weekend, what a fantastic site, kids loved it. We had a pitch looking over the pond and play area so kids could play out and we could see them at all times. Staff are amazing, especially the the lad on the reception desk (sorry didn’t get your name) but very helpful. Had to have a engineer come out to our van and he was so helpful, he is an asset to the park. Me and my family will be going back as soon as we can. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.
