This summer, we hosted one of our most heartwarming family events yet – the Teddy Bears’ Picnic in the soft play at Thorpe Farm. It was a day filled with laughter, storytelling, and plenty of adventures, and we want to say a huge well done to everyone who came along and made it such a special occasion.
From the moment families arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing. Children proudly carried their favourite teddy bears under their arms, ready for a day of fun and imagination. The picnic area was the perfect spot for little ones to settle down with their teddies, enjoy their snacks, and get ready for a magical day ahead.
Storytime with Captain Raggy Beard
We owe a big thank you to Captain Raggy Beard, who truly brought the day to life with his fantastic story times. His lively performances had the children (and quite a few grown-ups!) completely hooked. With his larger-than-life personality, Captain Raggy Beard whisked everyone away on exciting adventures without even leaving the picnic area. His tales sparked giggles, gasps, and plenty of “oohs” and “aahs” from our young audience.
The feedback we’ve had from parents has been incredible – so many of you said your little ones were still talking about Captain Raggy Beard’s stories days later!
Soft Play Fun for Everyone
After the picnic and stories, it was time for even more excitement in our soft play area. Our indoor play zone was the perfect way for children to burn off energy, explore, and have fun whatever the weather. With climbing frames, slides, and lots of space to run around, the soft play was packed with happy faces all afternoon.
